Monthly Demonstration Meeting
with Mark Wilson – Stencil Art

We are looking forward to having Mark Wilson with us for our next meeting. He will demonstrate his excellent skills of ‘Stencil Art’ for us on Tuesday 14th June 2022, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Room, Deerubbin Center Windsor

Both members and non members are welcome to join our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts. Supper provided.

About Mark Wilson:

Mark Wilson is an Australian artist also known as Red or Redherring. He has been known under the name since High School, so when he started painting, it felt natural for him to use it as well — like a red herring, he wants his art to be a distraction.

Redherring’s work takes on today’s life, fusing abstract expressionism, colour and street art stencilling, creating imperfect postmodern pieces that reflect the beauty, chaos and politik of an imperfect modern world.

In 2021, he won the People’s Choice Award in the inaugural National Capital Art Prize and also at our MTAS 2022 Autumn Exhibition won best in show.
