NOTICE: Monthly Demonstration Meeting – POSTPONED –

Unfortunately due to weather conditions we will be postponing our demonstration meeting that was due to go ahead tomorrow night, 12th April, with Mellissa Read Devine, Print Making.

We will let you know when Mellissa will be on for a future date as soon as we can.

Apologies to those who were looking forward to this demo as much as we were.

Musson Lane Gallery Open This Saturday, 9th April 2022

Come and visit us at the Musson Lane Gallery this Saturday, 9th April from 10am-4pm. 

It’s a great opportunity to appreciate some local creativity and purchase beautiful original art and lovely hand made gifts for yourself, friends and family.

We have unique local paintings, pottery, jewellery, resin crafts and more.

Our current featured artist is Margaret Cooper, and we have over 100 works from our members to view. You can also meet some of the artists on duty and join in with your local art community!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday!

We are looking forward to having Mellissa Read Devine back with us for our next meeting demonstrating Print Making on Tuesday, 12th April 2022, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Studio in Windsor. Come along or join us online to see Mellissa’s beautiful work in action.

CovidSafe practises will be in place.

Both members and non members are welcome to join our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.

About Mellissa Read Devine:

Mellissa has studied & practised printmaking and painting continuously for the past 21 years and is a recipient of many prizes and awards. Her artwork is part of many private and public collections around the world.

Living in rural Sydney overlooking the Hawkesbury River, Mellissa’s work ranges between vibrant interpretations of her local landscape to intricate wood & linocuts. Her combination of quirkiness and calm blend to create works with a strong spiritual base.

She is an Associate of the Royal Art Society of NSW, and also travels around the world to teach art enrichment workshops.

CASS 31st ‘Art of Sydney’ Awards Opens Today!

The 31st ‘Art of Sydney’ Awards Online opens today!

The 31st ‘Art of Sydney’ Awards opens today online at www.artofsydneyexhibition.com
It will run until 28th February 2021.

There will be a display of original artists’ works in six categories in the website:

1. Traditional themes in oil or acrylic painted as oil
2. Traditional themes painted in water medium using watercolour techniques
3. Drawing and Mixed Media
4. Abstract
5. 9” by 5” in tribute to the 1889 Impression Exhibition
6. Miniature paintings, traditional themes painted in the spirit of miniaturization

All paintings are for sale.

CASS Art in Action 17th, 18th & 19th May

Art in Action 17th, 18th and 19th May

Art In Action is on again!

It is a wonderful long weekend that provides a unique opportunity for local artists to learn new techniques and styles with the very best tutors from across Australia and New Zealand.

Art In Action allows the local art community to come together and celebrate their artistic interests.

Tutors are proficient in a wide range of mediums, techniques and styles including: Oils or water-based oils, indigo dyeing , no-press prints, mixed media, acrylic, pastel and watercolour. Students do not have to do 3 days of workshops. Book for one day, for two or for three days – the choice is yours.

The Art in Action weekend is organised and run by CASS (Combined Art Societies of Sydney Inc.) a non-profit group run totally by volunteer lovers of art.

Our Next Yarramundi Open Day is 1st May Tomorrow

Reminder: Yarramundi Open Day Wednesday 1st May – 10am to 4pm.

Tomorrow is our next open day. Members and guests are invited to come along to Yarramundi with inspirational surrounds for painting, sketching, watching art DVD’s, crafting or any medium.

HAAT Nature in Focus 30th April – 12th May 2019


Hawkesbury Artists and Artisans Trail have an exhibition “Nature in Focus” showcasing it’s members works opening today 30th April and going till 12th May at Gallery One88, 186-188 Katoomba St, Katoomba.

See a range of beautiful artworks from your local area and visit lovely Katoomba while you are there.

There is an Exhibition Celebration event on Saturday afternoon 4th May at 4pm.
