Reminder: MTAS Monthly Demo Meeting Tonight – Urban Sketching with Dtai Hansathit

Monthly Demonstration Meeting
with Dtai Hansathit – Urban Sketching
Tonight, 11th June 2024

We are looking forward to having Dtai Hansathit for our monthly meeting tonight, 11th June 2024, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Room, Deerubbin Center Windsor.

In his demonstration, Dtai will be showcasing ‘Urban Sketching’ using watercolours, pen and wash.

Both members and non-members are welcome to join our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.

Cost is $5 at the door. Supper is provided and please remember to park outside due to early car park closure.

About Dtai Hansathit:

Born in Singburi, Thailand, Dtai relocated to Australia in 1992 as an international student, eventually obtaining Australian citizenship in 2000.

Before his move to Australia, Dtai gained recognition as a talented artist in Thailand. His artistic endeavors garnered acclaim, including representing Thailand as a young sculptor at The 1st Asian Youth Sculptors Workshop and Exhibition in 1989, and receiving the Silpa Bhirasri Silver Medal Award in 1990. He has also participated in art collaborations in both Thailand and Australia.

As an artist, Dtai always carries a small sketchbook and portable watercolour palette with him. He paints and sketches whenever he can to sharpen his observation and visual interpretation skills. He loves both ‘plein air’ (on location) and ‘studio’ painting approaches. He paints what he sees and follows his feelings to capture and express his subjects.

You can find more of his work on his socials:
