Hello Members,
Our Gallery at Musson Lane will now be open most Saturdays from 10am – 4pm.
We are Open this Saturday 1st of Feb and works can be brought in on this day as we need more to fill the space.
We are open for sales with receipt books etc and a Square Reader for card payments.
There are instructions and we plan to always have a committee member on duty to handle the money side of things.
We would like to have a changeover for paintings on Sat 8th Feb (although work can come in on our Open Day Wed 5th also) and will go until the week after Easter – Open Day Wed 15th & Sat 18th April.
Please note! The 1st of February is still on our free trial basis for hanging and the Fees for hanging will start from 8th of Feb as the following:
$5 for 2 works (At the moment max of 4 works depending on size – but this is to be reviewed, please bring your works and we will assess when there. Works can be of any age and exhibited at any previous MTAS exhibition).
Crafts are $5 for the equivalent of half a table – 1 meter squared.
Also note Artist greeting cards are free if you are exhibiting or considered Craft if only submitting cards.
We will supply the labels for each of your works so it looks uniform, but please bring a sheet with a list of your works, the medium and price for the folder to record sales.
Usual commission rate of 25% will go to MTAS for sales.
If you currently have works on show they can remain but will need payment and roster to be arranged from the 8th of Feb.
It is a requirement that if you bring works to hang you need to put in for duty times please.
The Duty times are currently 10-1pm and 1-4pm. Speak to Sheila for the roster at the moment 0408 161 284. We need to fill spaces so to view the current Roster please click here
If you are exhibiting we would like you to volunteer 1 or 2 times per display period.
We do need you to please be reliable, and if you cannot come to your duty please phone the Committee person on duty, and find a swap.
If you have not hung any works or craft but wish to help with duty that is most welcomed also. It is a fun, catch up time to see other members and enjoy our new venue in the heart of Richmond!
You could chat, do some work, watch a DVD, read a book from our library, as well as showing round visitors as we become better known with our new Gallery.
It is exciting to have this new location so lets share it!
