Your Art Society Needs You!
Our Art Society is run by volunteers and we need your help to continue. This year our committee has worked tirelessly to facilitate our artistic endeavors as a society and support our members.
Our President Kym Morris has done a brilliant job and will be standing down. She is however happy to continue as Vice President to support whoever will step into the position of President.
We are always in need of new people to help run the Society and would love to see some more members helping out with the roles listed below.
If you, your friends or family can assist please let us know. You do not need to be an artist yourself to fill these roles, but some interest in arts and crafts is welcome.
To nominate yourself or another person please email to info [@] mtas.com.au
Also this year we have to move from our current home Musson Lane by the end of December 2022. We need support from our community and members to help us find a new home.
We want MTAS to continue into the future so please consider joining the committee.

Talk by Sue Kennedy ‘Art Therapy’ – 13th Sept 2022
On 13th September 2022, 7:30pm we are pleased to have Sue Kennedy speaking to us about Art Therapy at the Stan Stevens Studio, Deerubbin Centre, George St, Windsor. This will follow our Annual General Meeting.
Art Therapy Talk by Sue Kennedy
Sue will talk and demonstrate how despite being enormously beneficial for those people experiencing difficulties, Art Therapy is also suitable in emphasising healthy aspects of a person’s life.
By focusing on art, regardless of form, a person can explore their own creativity, providing themselves with valuable insight into who they are, especially in relation to certain areas of their life.
Art therapy is based on the theory that creative expressions can foster healing and emotional well-being. It lets individuals communicate their personal experiences and has been proven that creativity allows people to discover their self-identity.
It also helps to heal people by improving their mental health, and improve physical health by alleviating stress and anxiety.
For those who are ready to change their life and live from love and not fear Art Therapy may be for you.
Sue runs workshops and also one on one sessions.
More about Sue Kennedy
Sue has the Author Academy, Author Academy Bookstore, and Sue Kennedy Publishing as well as Healing with ART.
