Reminder: Our Next Open Day is Tomorrow, 4th December

Our Next Open Day is tomorrow, Wednesday
4th December — 10am to 4pm!

Our next Paint Along Open Day for members and guests at our new venue, Musson Lane, is on Wednesday 4th December from 10am – 4pm.

Bring your materials and join us for some painting, sketching, watching art DVD’s, and crafting.

The new address: Unit 2, 1 Musson Lane, Richmond, NSW 2753

Mingle and create with like minded art enthusiasts.

Share your interests while learning more about art and the artists in our area.

Morning and afternoon tea is provided. Bring your own lunch.

We will be opening tomorrow for a members viewing
Open Day new Richmond venue at Musson Lane
tomorrow, 18th September from 10am – 3pm!

All are invited to come and see our new venue at Musson Lane in Richmond!
Have a look between 10am and 3pm tomorrow.

There will also be some frames for sale that have been donated by one of our members to be sold at $10 each. There is a large range.

Come down and join us for a cup of tea or coffee and see our new place in it’s setup phase (we will have an official Opening at a later date)

Hawkesbury City Council – Waste 2 Art 2019

Hawkesbury City Council’s ‘Waste 2 Art’ Competition
is still open for primary school age children!

This is a great activity for kids to take part in with artworks being exhibited at the Hawkesbury Central Library during Government Week from Monday, 29th July ’til Sunday, 4th August 2019.

Waste 2 Art Competition focuses on 3Rs of waste hierarchy: reuse, reduce and recycle to specifically show how students can give waste a new purpose by transforming it into a creative artwork.

The artwork may be either 2D or 3D and must follow the competition guidelines.

You will see there is 2 x A5 size forms to an A4 page – this is intended so it will print well for us. There is one for you and one for a friend!… or else a spare for next year 🙂

Hawkesbury Show Entries & Duty

Hawkesbury Show entries must be delivered to the Showground this Friday, 3rd May from 10am to 4pm or Saturday, 4th May 9am to 11am.

Do you want to help at the Art Desk at the Show? You just supervise, sell catalogues and enjoy the Art. (There are Stewards to deal with any Sales or problems). You do not need to be an artist or have an art work in the Show. You will be be given a Free Entry Ticket.

We need 2 helpers per session for
Friday 10th 4 – 7,
Sat 11th 10 – 1, 4 – 6, 7 – close
Sun 11th (Mothers Day) 1-4pm

CASS Art in Action 17th, 18th & 19th May

Art in Action 17th, 18th and 19th May

Art In Action is on again!

It is a wonderful long weekend that provides a unique opportunity for local artists to learn new techniques and styles with the very best tutors from across Australia and New Zealand.

Art In Action allows the local art community to come together and celebrate their artistic interests.

Tutors are proficient in a wide range of mediums, techniques and styles including: Oils or water-based oils, indigo dyeing , no-press prints, mixed media, acrylic, pastel and watercolour. Students do not have to do 3 days of workshops. Book for one day, for two or for three days – the choice is yours.

If you are not wanting accommodation you can still book into the workshops.

The Art in Action weekend is organised and run by CASS (Combined Art Societies of Sydney Inc.) a non-profit group run totally by volunteer lovers of art.
