MTAS Kids School Holiday Workshops 10th – 21st January 2022

Our MTAS Kids School Holiday Workshops are on again!
Start the new year with our fun and creative kids workshops.
For 5-15yr olds. Limit of 10 students per workshop.
Cost: $15 per workshop per child; all equipment supplied.

MTAS December 14th Xmas Meeting Show & Tell

MTAS Christmas Meeting & End of Year Celebration
Tuesday, 14th December 2021

We are excited that our end of year Celebration Meeting will be on Tuesday 14th December, 7.30pm back at the Stan Stevens Studio! (Deerubbin Centre)

Please bring something for Show & Tell. It can be an art or craft work you have done through the year or something of interest to show to the group.

We will also have games, lucky door prize, trivia as well as a Covid safe supper, tea and coffee.

CovidSafe practises will be in place. We are limited in numbers so please register your attendance by email to info [@] mtas.com.au .

Tea, coffee & a covid safe supper will be supplied, plus we have some fun surprises planned.

Address: Stan Stevens Studio Deerubbin Centre, Hawkesbury Cultural Precinct, 300 George St, Windsor.

Please remember to park outside the car park as it closes early.

MTAS Online Art Challenge: December 2021 “Summer Holidays”

Online Art Challenge December 2021
“Summer Holidays”

Our last MTAS online Art Challenge theme for this year is “Summer Holidays.” You can make any kind of art you like for this theme. Any medium… even digital! 🙂

This challenge is for your own work and not a replication inspired by another artist’s work. Works can be for sale if you would like. Not for sale is ok too.

Please include any important accompanying details: Title, Size, Medium, and if it is for sale, please include the price.

Submissions for the challenge will close 31st December 2021.

MTAS Christmas Sale 2021

It’s Christmas Sale time! 10% off all Artworks!

We have lots of wonderful artists exhibiting their works and craft pieces for our Christmas sale this year. All art and craft will be 10% off the marked prices.

The Christmas Sale starts this Saturday 27th November and continues each Saturday ’til the 18th of December. Open 10am – 4pm.

Covid-safe guidelines with proof of double vaccination is required for entry.

The Address for Musson Lane Gallery is 1 Musson Lane, Richmond, NSW 2753 – behind the Richmond Library.

MTAS Paint Along Open Day – 1st December 2021

MTAS Paint Along Open Day!
1st December 10am – 4pm

 

Don’t forget our next MTAS Paint Along Open Day is on 1st December 10am to 4pm.

We have enough space and rooms for people to spread out and allow safe distancing.

All surfaces are regularly sanitised and wiped down.

Please provide Proof of Double Vaccination when you attend – either digital or on paper.

Bring your own food. We have tea, coffee, etc an oven and a microwave in our kitchen.

Enjoy the company of fellow art enthusiasts, you can bring a project, art, craft, or any hobby.
You can watch or paint along with our DVD collection as well.

Members and guests are welcome.

Musson Lane Gallery Change Over Fri 26th Nov – Christmas Sale!

Dear MTAS members

This post is to notify you that Friday 26th November from 9am-12noon is the change over for new artworks to be hung at the Musson Lane Gallery for our Christmas Sale that will start from Saturday 27th through til 18th December.

The guidelines are as follows:

A maximum of 5 artworks can be hung at a cost of $2 per piece.   We will use our discretion on larger works & will probably charge slightly more if we do so.  This will be decided at the time they are brought in as our space is limited.

There is no time limit on when a piece was created nor if it has hung with MTAS before. 

Greeting cards are not charged for if supplied by a member who is exhibiting. 

Craft pieces are charged at $5 for items taking up to half a table or 1 square metre.

If you wish to leave works on display from the current exhibition the appropriate fees need to be paid for the new exhibition.

We will provide labels for all artworks for uniformity.  Please ensure that your craftwork & cards are clearly labelled & correspond with your entry list.

The usual MTAS commission rate of 25% applies to all artworks, craft items or cards on sale.

Please Note: For our Christmas Sale there will be a 10% off all works – The 10% discount is applied to the Marked price on the artwork, craft item or card. Then the 25% commission is taken off the selling price. 10% Sale is running from 27th November to 18th December 2021. When we reopen in 2022 all exhibits will revert to being sold at their Marked Price as usual.

The expectation that all exhibitors will fulfill 1 or 2 duties during this exhibition still stands.  Please ensure that you note your availability on the roster at the time of changeover.  Even if you are not exhibiting, all members are very welcome to assist with Gallery duty.

Should your circumstances alter & you are unable to meet your roster obligations contact Maryanne Jones on 0428 441 437, ensuring adequate notice is given to arrange someone to cover your absence.

We all look forward to a successful Christmas Sale & exhibition. This is a time for creativity and a time to celebrate the chance to share all the amazing art we create.

The Hawkesbury Art Fair is on now til 5th Dec

Don’t miss The Hawkesbury Art Fair
Until 5th Dec 2021

The Hawkesbury Art Fair is on now at The Hawkesbury Regional Gallery in Windsor and features work by our local Hawkesbury Artists. Currently running until the 5th of December.

Our Artists from MTAS in this year’s exhibition are: Mark Wilson, Annmaree Mitchell, Elaine Foulsham, Pat Latta, Stephen Hoysted, Pat Bakarich, Jim Paciallo, Julie Simmons, Chris Seale, Beth Gibbeson, Maryanne Jones, Virginia Wheatley and Amanda Boyd.

It is an opportunity for local artists to exhibit and sell their work. Residents and visitors to the area can buy original art from the region’s best-known accomplished and up-and-coming artists.

A range of organisations are showcased in the Art Fair and include the Macquarie Towns Arts Society, Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop, Piggery Lane Studios, Hawkesbury Artists and Artisans Trail, Hawkesbury Camera Club, and Ferry Studio Artists.

Make sure you have your double vaccination and head on down to see the show.

MTAS Paint Along Open Day – Wednesday, 17th November 2021

MTAS Paint Along Open Day
Wednesday, 17th November 10am – 4pm

Our next Paint Along Open Day is on Wednesday, 17th November from 10am to 4pm.

We have COVID Safe measures and social distancing in place.

Please provide Proof of Double Vaccination when you attend – either digital or on paper.

We have hand sanitiser and wipes, BYO mask. We have enough space and rooms for people to decently spread out to allow for safe distancing 1.5m apart with current legislation.
All surfaces are regularly sanitised and wiped down.

Please bring your own food. We have tea, coffee, etc an oven and a microwave in our kitchen. All are cleaned & sanitised after use.

Enjoy the company of fellow art enthusiasts, you can bring a project, art, craft, or any hobby.
You can watch or paint along with our DVD collection as well.

Members and guests are welcome.

Musson Lane Gallery Open 13th November 2021

Musson Lane Gallery OPEN Saturday!
13th November 10am – 4pm

MTAS Gallery at Musson Lane is open this Saturday!

Come down and visit the gallery to view our beautiful local art and crafts.

Lots of original art for your walls and lovely hand made gifts for your friends, family, or yourself, all made by local Australian artists.

You can view and purchase unique local paintings, pottery, jewellery, resin crafts, and more every Saturday from 10am – 4pm.

Visit the Gallery to meet some of the artists on duty and join in with your local art community!
