Here is a reminder that entries for the annual Royal Easter Show will close on Wednesday, 17th January 2024.

Royal Arts & Crafts 2024 Competition Schedule

The Sydney Royal Arts & Crafts Schedule tells you everything you need to know about the Competition including class criteria, entry fees, closing dates, where to deliver your entry, conditions of entry, prizes, and much more.

The Royal Easter Show will be from 22nd March until 2nd April 2024. Join in with the event as a celebration of Australian culture. It provides an amazing and unique experience for everyone.

It was first held in 1823 and is an iconic celebration of Australian culture. It has been recognised for its significant economic and social contributions to NSW.

Revenues generated at the Show are invested in agricultural programs, competitions, education, youth, and community development in NSW.

Reminder: MTAS End of Year Celebration Christmas Meeting Tomorrow, 12th Dec 2023

MTAS Monthly Meeting & Christmas Party
Tuesday, 12th December 2023

It’s that time of the year again!

Reminding all that our End of Year Celebration Christmas Meeting will be tomorrow, 12th of December 7.30pm at the Stan Stevens Studio (Deerubbin Centre).

Venue address: Stan Stevens Studio, Deerubbin Centre, Hawkesbury Cultural Precinct, 300 George St, Windsor.

Please bring something for Show & Tell. It can be an art or craft work you have done through the year or something of interest to show to the group. We are also planning a Lucky Dip, Lucky Door Prize, Art Trivia, and more.

Tea & coffee will be supplied. Please bring a plate of something tasty to share with the group.

Both members and non-members are welcome to join our meetings, for the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.

Please remember to park outside the car park as it closes early.

We hope you can join us for our fun-filled end-of-year celebration and wish you all a safe and happy festive season!

Reminder: Next MTAS Portrait Group Tomorrow, 9th Dec 2023

MTAS Portrait Group 9th Dec
Every 2nd Saturday of the Month
From 1pm – 4pm

Reminding all that we have a portrait group with a live model every second Saturday of the month from 1pm – 4pm.
The cost is $15.00. If anyone would like to come along please text or call Deidre on 0412 979 731.

Our next Portrait Group will be tomorrow, 9th December 2023.
(Please also note that our first Portrait Group back for 2024 is Saturday 10th of Feb)

Model, easels & afternoon tea provided.
BYO Painting/Drawing materials.

We also need a model each month, so if anyone is interested in sitting for a portrait (fully clothed) or would like to suggest a sitter, please phone Deidre on 0412 979 731.

The Secret Garden Christmas Fair – Saturday, 2nd December 2023

The Secret Garden Christmas Fair
Saturday, 2nd December 2023
From 9am – 2pm

The Secret Garden has a Christmas Fair this Saturday, 2nd December from 9am until 2pm.

Entrance fee is $2.00. The address is Clydesdale Lane Richmond, Western Sydney University Campus, Richmond. You can enter via Londonderry Road.

There will be Christmas stalls you can buy gifts for friends, loved ones, and even yourself! There will also be lots of gorgeous plants for sale at bargain prices, market & food stalls, live music, and Devonshire tea and coffee from the café. You can also meet their cute and friendly farmyard animals.

‘Online’ Summer Sale Exhibition
Entry Forms Available

The entry forms for the Combined Art Societies of Sydney (CASS) ‘Online’ Summer Sale Exhibition is now available. The exhibit will be from 1st December 2023 until 31st January 2024.

This sale is for CASS Artists only and the site is password protected.

Please follow these steps to access it:

  • Go to the CASS website http://www.combinedartsocieties.com 
  • Look for ‘Summer Sale’ on the landing page
  • Click on ‘Enter’ and use the code CAO999
  • Click on ‘Members and entry form’.

The closing date for entries will be 24th November 2023.

CASS ‘Online’ Summer Sale Terms & Conditions

Artists can enter paintings of any age, medium, or subject – framed or unframed, or on a stretched canvas complete with a hanging cord, or works on paper with or without a matt board. Artists can enter up to 6 paintings.

Before you fill in the Entry Form, please make sure that you have the size, weight, medium, and prices of each entry as you will be asked to provide these.

The Sale Price limit will be $300.00 as an incentive for buyers to purchase a Christmas gift, as all work submitted will be valued at well over the sale price.
